We have great news Caruso has arrived to us back home We have a new animal a cat that has gotten the name "Rosie the criminal cat" she is a mixture of Norsk skogkat and Blue Russian cat. The cat and the dogs do blend very nice. Rosie has given me a great interest in the breed Blue Russian it is a talented breed that has a temprament similiar to schnauzer

Other news are the dogs have now a new member to take off and that is a cat that is called Rosie, she is a wonderful character and thinks and act just lika a schnauzer  . She is blue russian and norsk skogkat wonderful mixture to have with schnauzer.

Great news from Denmark today. Yesterday the 30. August got Svarthöfða Hrímnis Freyr Kaldi his first cert in Denmark. He is only 11 months old   His result in the show was as followed:

BIR for white.

BIS 4.

BIR , BIS 4 and 2nd seat for the 4 colours. Best trimmed.

The judge did like him very much at so young age. We are very grateful to Jan Præstekjær who is taking care of Freyr for us now, he trimmed him, showed him and is taking very good care of him for us. Thank you very much Jan.

Today Frosti did finish tracking 1 only 8 months old with 90 points out of 100.

ZsaZsa has been with for one week now and is a wonderful female with even temprament like Riesenschnauzer should be. She is now 20 months old and we hope to be able to take for hip x-rays soon as well for MH or other mental test that she can enter at this age.

Today Bouvbear´s Njord Gram ( Zorro) took basic obedience in Iceland with my daugther which is 13 years old their score was 158 / 180 very nice score for their first time in working trial together.

Caruso of Taita´s Ushabti went with my son which is 10 years old, this was their second time together in working trial and the score was 141,5 / 180. Caruso did better in the first run.

The dogs that are already in Denmark are having great time and have adjusted very well to their new homes for time being. Now we have only 2 dogs in our house here in Iceland and they are Zorro our Riesenschnauzer and Caruso one of our Zwergschnauzer.

We have found a new home for Svarthöfða Hrímnis Freyr Kaldi with our dear friend that is living in Denmark. She is studying for the vetenary and will train and show Freyr. He will be on breeding contract and remain as our dog.

It is always difficult to have many males in the same household if they are allowed to be free in whole area. I cannot and will not have my dogs in kennels to provite peace in my household. Caruso, Freyr and Zorro are true schnauzer males and need their space for their testarone .

Today was the first show for puppies from Litter B. There was only 1 registered since 1 has moved already to Denmark and Cortes was planned to leave in the middle of June.  But the male that did go to the show did great and got BOB and honours that was Svarthöfða Javier Frosti please go to his profile to read the critic.

Frosti is our second male that goes for show from our breeding. Freyr went for his first show in March and both these males did excellent for their first time both got BOB and honours. We are very thankful to the breeders that sold us the parents for these 2 males that have got so good start in their show life  With good hopes for the foundation that we are building in our breeding from excellent bloodlines from well know kennels we thank them again for the parents that we have start to built our foundation.

We have guest for the weekend from our litter B. Cesar is visiting and his very happy dog and the energy is amazing, Cortes does even beg for mercy in the play  Cesar is devloping very well and is muscular male.

We had a new photo today of Ólafur and Caruso with the medalion.

We are very pround today. Our boy Ólafur which is only 10 years old took Caruso of Taita´s Ushabti for obedience competion in basic obedience. He got the highest result for miniature schnauzer scored in Iceland.  He was the second highest in the competion overall. The dog that had higher points was in obedience 1 the next level above basic obedience. So his final score was 154 points out of 180  Ólafur will compete again in one month and will try for higher score. The grade for willingness to please was 9,5 out of 10 points  To see the total score please go to Caruso profile (working trial ), pictures will arrive later this week when the are sent to us by email 

Svarthöfða Javier Frosti went for his test in puppy class and got 9 points out of 10. We are very happy with this result and whish his owner Guðbjörg congratulation with this result. Frosti is in proving him self in every field that we consider strong for breeding and there for we are very happy that Guðbjörg did agree for the breeding contract 

One male Svarthöfða Jamal Freri has also finished his puppy and we are waiting for his result.

Svarthöfða Joy from Jafrak Snow Wonder will finish later since she is now in Denmark.

Svarthöfða Jarred Funi will take his course in another country later in his life.

Svarthöfða Jarrod Fannar will finish his puppy class later this summer.

Things are going well and the preparition for moving are in order. There are 3 dogs already in Denmark before me so it will be easier to move. 2 are at kennel Præstekjær and are having great time. They are Svarthöfða Hrímnis Freyr Kaldi and Svarthöfða Joy from Jafrak Snow Wonder. They do obbey their new boss and go along very well with the other dogs. Jafrak Snow Wonder is in Copenhagen having fun exploring new world and is relaxed and joyble to be around with.

Next month Svarthöfða Funi will go to Denmark as well and most likely stay with his mother in Copenhagen, but he could also go to Esjberg to a friend. We will have wait and see for the airflight for him.

I am glad to tell that finally my dogs have had their rabies vaccination for their export  Jafrak Snow Wonder ( Tobba ) is leaving for Copenhagen 2. June, Freyr ( from litter A ) and Pink (from litter B ) are leaving 8. June and they 2 will stay for couple of days in Copenhagen but go to Fyn in Denmark and stay there for some time. Cortes ( From litter B ) will go to Jylland in Denmark and stay there for some time. The travel date for Cortes is not sett yet but hopefully it will be soon.

 Caruso will stay until fall in Iceland and go to Kennel Præstekjær in October for studservice. If there is a request for his service please contact Jan Præstekjær. Caruso will though always be in care with Jan so bitches do have to travel to him. Perhaps Jan can travel but please contact him for further information.

Xerra Svarcava will stay in Iceland and we breed from her under Svarthöfða kennel name. Casper will also stay in Iceland. Svarthöfða Javier Frosti (from litter B) stays in Iceland and is going to make his show and working carrier in Iceland.

Bouvbear´s Njord Gram, Zorro will travel with me to Denmark and then stay with good friend until he is legible for entry to Sweden.  All the dogs are legal for entry to Sweden from mid September so it will be lot of waiting time for us in Sweden without our dogs 

I am so lucky and happy to have so good friends in Denmark that are willing to keep my dogs for me, thank you all, Linda, Guðríður, Jan and Gina it is the best to have such a good loving friends. I hopw that I can return this big gift sometime.

And at last today news is that Zsa Zsa will come to us in Sweden in the fall  it has been long wait and without Ania Krywan at kennel Z GRODU KSIAZAT POMORSKICH  we would not have such a promising female. Ania patient with us and her understanding for our situation is pricelss. Ania have gone with her to shows and traveled with her for shows. Zsa Zsa has very good bloodlines behind her and her father is Sascha De Romaniere and her her motther is Tajga Grodu Ksiazat Pomorskich both parents with excellent show results and good temprament. So there is lot of things going on within the kennel even though we will not have many puppies for the rest of this year 

Kennel Svarthöfða is moving and therefor it will not be lot of action on the kennel website. We are moving to Sweden this summer and there is lot to prepare and take care of before moving.

3 dogs will though remain in Iceland and are eligble for breeding. Xerra Svarcava, Præstekjær Jaime and Svarthöfða Hrímnis Javier Frosti. If litter is produced in Iceland it will be under Svarthöfða kennel name from these dogs. We are strongly thinking of changing our kennel name when we move since it is difficult to have icelandic kennel name abroad.

For the summer show in Iceland we only registered 2 dogs and that is Bouvbear´s Njord Gram (Zorro) he will be trying for his 3 and last CAC to gain ISSCH before he leaves Iceland and Xerra Svarcava to try for her second CAC. Other dogs will have left the country if all plans are going right. Since there are rules for importing dogs to Sweden the dogs have to have Titer for rabies at least 0,5 the dogs will be with friends in Demark until the titer is done. It is much easier to pick them up there then have them transported from Iceland after we move.

We look forward to try new areas with our dogs in Sweden especialy in the working area for them all  and of course it will be bigger oppertunity to take them to shows and meet real challange in the ring.

The trouble goes on. There are some misfuntion with freewebs and they have sent e-mail to their users and are trying to fix this problem. But I am just glad that was not my "computer" that was broken all the time 

It is actullay not much been happening here but the tracking is on track again and the puppies from litter B are doing great. 4 of them are now in puppy class and are doing excellent with their owners.

It has been lot of trouble with my website and it seems it will never end  Picture are not loading and articles seems to disapear. I know that Freewebs has had some problems but it was fixed but something is still wrong.

But there are some news though that are positive. I went to visit kennel Præstekjær in Denmark and had a very nice staying with Annette and Jan, Their latest puppies are great and really nice  Thank you Jan and Annette for your hospitality and nice greetings in your home.

For my dogs in my house now it is rather busy days and lot of work to do with social - and enviromental training for the new puppies in the house but luckily Freyr is being a great help with those things as well as Caruso and Zorro. The puppies that left the house are in great hands and the coat is really good and harsh on all of them. No puppy coat there only harsh coat with white and nice undercoat. Hopefully they will continue to be promising and joy for their owners. All the owners are well aware of good enviromental training and social training. They are treated as working dogs not lap dogs and that I am very happy about, they are using their own feets and are free running and playing in their puppyhood.

I want to correct the news from 04.03.2009. Show results was mistakenly written on the paper and it has been corrected. It has also been some problems with the page as in some sites there is still a christmas theme, show 2009 is missing, in litter news are some pharagraphs missing, misterously some dogs has "disapeard from the page or information are not up to date. As for next days I will try keep up the repairs but it will be a slow process, something is crashing in my router and some changes go in while others "disapears" 

Please be patient it was a new article in the article section but it is lost as well as for changes for the puppies in litter B. Hopefully I will get it all done before the weekend.

We also have the female puppy from Litter B back to our house and she will stay with us for further breeding. Her new owners did have unexpected happenings and she was returned.

The dogs where in show 01.03.2009 and we are very pleased with the results.

Zorro (Bouvbear´s Njord Gram ) got down graded for his coat but that we did expect he spends a lot of time outside and as it is winter we did not strip him of his undercoat at all. And he is a bit wooly  But never the less he got great judging and VG.

Caruso got his 3 CACIB. His judgement was excellent and we are very pleased with the judgement.

Svarthöfða Hrímnis Freyr Kaldi our first breeded dog went also. He got excellent judgement and was the only white puppy in male he got BOB and went for finals in puppies 4 - 6 months but did not get a seat in the finals.

Casper (Præstekjær Jamie ) is now fully developed and we are also very pleased with his judgement. He got VG the coat was did downgrade him.

Zaphira ( Xerra Svarcava ) did the best of them all. Now 5 months after weaning she got excellent in judging  CAC and RESERVE CACIB.

Frosti, Tumi and Fönn have left our house and did very well for the first night. Our last boy will stay with us until end of March and then go to his new home.

There is a show this weekend and we are showing 01.03.2009.

The puppies are leaving the nest this week. It will be an empty and quiet house without those 5 singing birds for crying to get attention . We still have one puppy for sale but he will only be sold to experienced people. He will be ready around 12 weeks to leave the nest. Cortes will be our male for further breeding fom Caruso of Taita´s Ushabti line for males and hopefully we will be able to get a promising male again from Cortes to carry on. Freyr is our hope to continue Casper line for males in the future. Those males that are imported are excellent in working temprament, active, outgoing characters with strong bones and excellent muscle tone to enhance endurance in all matters. Now we will aim for bitches for further breeding from the males and females that are imported, but we can only hope for promising litters. If not a female we will arrive we start looking for new one in next couple of years.

For next weeks the website will change in many areas, more articles are on the way and the outlook in some matters will change as well. Please be patient if some errors accure or some information are coming and going. It will take a final look in month or so perhaps 2 months . Feel free to browse for information.

The traffic to our side has increased a lot and that we are glad for. This traffic shows what people are reading and that do inspire us to keep up the flow of information about the Riesenschnauzer and Zwergschnauzer.

New album puppies 6 weeks and more in litter B news

We have been very lucky with our puppy buyers and the homes they go to are very nice. All the homes so far are in the capital area and the new owners are very enthusiastic for the new puppy. All of them are very much involved for the small inveromental training with the puppies.  And do visit them often and that is fantastic for the puppies to experience so it will be easier for them to leave "old home". For the weekend to come 2 of them will go for half day to the new home and come back, hopefully tired, relaxed and secure in the training.  This method of training so young puppies has given good result in the matter of living their mother and going to new homes. It is easier for them to adjust and relax when they are taken away permentatly.

Now we only have 1 male left and that is Svarthöfða Hrímnis Jafrak from Jafrak Snow wonder. He is very promising fellow and we hope that he will go to home that is willing to train him in agility in the future. But if not it is not an issue, his character do fit very well for the sport though.

For the other dogs in the house it is quite busy times trying to keep the puppies in one pack. The puppies are exploring every corner in the house and are not willing to stay in one group  Zorro is the only one that have surrender in that role and just lay still and let them crowl all over his body, biting his tail and pull his ears. I am so happy for his pation with the puppies and willingness to let them explore his big body and even biting his nails  The only thing he is not willing to let them do, is taking his food or trying to take a swim in his food  and the puppies do listen to that one...My Zorro is so good "father figure" for small dogs. Freyr is also very happy with Zorro pation for him and willingness to play softly and lower him self to his size.....

I am so thankful for the dogs that I did import about 2 years ago and the pation from the breeders to keep them for me and go through the extra vetenary visits for me. Today we have put new links in Availble litters after our browsing for interesting matings and puppies. Not that we are looking for new dog at all, but we like to keep our selfs updated about our favorite kennels and their breeding. So for this time we only put links for black Riesenschnauzer since there is no litter availble in p/s and no planned litter been put on homepages.
